Degree Programs

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CS&D) at Syracuse University is dedicated to comprehensive quality training of professionals in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Degree programs in these areas have been offered at Syracuse University since 1948. Although solidly based on almost four decades of training experience, the CS&D programs today are new, innovative, and dynamic.

Syracuse University offers the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with specialization in Speech-Language Pathology at the Master's and Ph.D. level, and the Doctoral and Ph.D. levels in Audiology. The master’s and doctoral programs are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The program variety contributes to the richness of our coursework, clinical experiences, and research opportunities.

The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department is housed in the Gordon D. Hoople Building, which contains the Gebbie Speech-Language-Hearing Clinics, the Psychoeducational Laboratory, and also the Center on Human Policy.
