If you wish to apply electronically, click here. Among other advantages, filing your application this way will enable you to attach and submit electronic documents, such as your application essay and resume. It also will allow us to process and forward your materials to your academic department for review faster. For more detailed instructions visit the Graduate School webpage.
If filing online simply will not be possible for you, you may download and print the application from a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) document here. You should fill in the SUID number above on that form.

FAX: (315) 443-3423
All applications must have the following:
- Completed application with a personal statement;
- One copy of Official Undergraduate transcripts for every college or university attended;
- Three official letters of recommendation (an official letter of recommendation is in a sealed envelope with the recommender's signature across the flap of the envelope)
- International applicants must show sufficient funding for at least the first year of graduate study in order to have a student visa authorized;
- GRE scores
- All international students are required to submit TOEFL scores.
- All candidates considered for admission will complete either a phone or in-person interview before being admitted.
Graduate-level applications must be completed and received by February 1 to be eligible for admission into the Fall semester. Because the graduate programs involve both clinical practicum and academic coursework, a tightly coordinated sequence of clinical and academic experience is scheduled to begin each Fall semester. Therefore the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program admits new students only during the Fall Semester.
Students interested in a PhD program should note that in addition to the above, and prior to enrolling, must make contact with and have the expressed agreement of at least one CS&D faculty member who will serve as the student's sponsor or mentor throughout the student's entire course of study in the CS&D program.
All applicants to our graduate programs are considered for funding assistance, as long as the application is received prior to February 1. Grants and graduate assistantships are offered on a merit basis. Information on other funding opportunities for graduate studies can be obtained from American Speech Language Hearing Association.
The completed application package must be sent to:

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
The Syracuse University Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is the voice of graduate students on campus. The GSO is comprised of representatives from degree-granting programs (if your program does not yet participate, please consider sending a representative) and elected officials. Our most visible endeavor is the Inn Complete (you should check it out sometime), which provides a relaxing atmosphere and offers excellent refreshments (graduate students are eligible for a discount). We also subsidize Drumlins Golf and Tennis Club, where graduate students can enjoy free golf and tennis, and support Student Legal Services, which offers free legal counsel on issues ranging from lease reviews to moving violations. The GSO provides competitive funding for special programming events throughout the year, put on by and for graduate students and the greater SU community. We are currently working on two special projects: childcare for graduate students with families and improving graduate student health care. There are numerous ways that you can get involved with the GSO and we welcome your participation. For more information, please visit our website: http://students.syr.edu/gso/ .
There is limited University housing for graduate students, but there are numerous apartments and rooms near campus or in close approximation to frequent, no-cost bus service to campus.
Off-campus housing options are listed at this website: www.orangehousing.com
Further questions about housing may be addressed to South Campus Housing, Goldstein Student Center, Room 206, Syracuse, NY 13244; Phone (315) 443-2567.
